This six-week mastermind program will cover how to overcome the common causes of perfectionism so you can embrace a Done is Better Than Perfect mindset. The format will include a review of the previous week, followed by a 15-minute lecture and member-focused hot seat brainstorming.
Week 1: Why We Are Perfectionists
Week 2: Fear of Failure. What are the consequences?
Week 3: Imposter Syndrome
Week 4: Defining Done
Week 5: Embracing iterations
Week 6: Putting it all together
Each week will have a short homework assignment about that week's topic. Most assignments are a few brief questions to help you identify how these common themes affect your ability to move projects forward. I will also provide a few handouts or worksheets to help you. — Homework is not mandatory, but you will get the most benefit from the group if you do the work.
One of the key benefits of a mastermind group is the hot seat.
If you're not familiar with the hot seat, every group member has a set amount of time to present their question or problem and the group brainstorms a solution.
You are not required to take a turn in the hot seat, but it is the best way to get help with your specific situation. — Other people may have a similar problem, but it's unlikely they will have the exact same needs and resources.
To ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate, I am limiting the group to a maximum of 10 people.
